THE DAY BEFORE

What is the Optional Pre-Wedding Gathering?

We will be hosting a Pre-Wedding Day gathering at the Kingscliff Beach Hotel to have time to catch up with everyone before the day. Totally optional.

What is included?

A FREE glass of bubbles for everyone on arrival.

FREE food platters: Corn Chips and Guacamole, Bruschetta, and Salt and Pepper Squid.

When is it?

2pm - 5pm. Monday 25th August. Kingscliff Beach Hotel

Do I have to go?

Nope! Please RSVP No on the RSVP form.

THE DAY OF

Where do I park?

We recommend getting a lift in or parking anywhere along Marine Parade.

(3-Hour Parking on the Beach Side).

What is the dress code?

Relaxed Semi-Formal / Casual. Think Spring in Winter. Florals, Pastels, and Bright Colours!

Don’t wear white. Obviously.

What will the food be like?

A selection of canapes will be distributed, as well as Alternative Drop Entrees and Mains.

As Zoe is a Pescatarian, one option will be fish or vegetarian, and the other will be meat.

If you are worried about hunger, there is a 24 hr BP McDonald’s 10 minutes away!

What time is Reception?

Reception starts at 5:00 pm.

The last drinks are at 11:20 pm, The Bar Closes at 11:30 pm, and Vacate the premises by 11:45 pm.

How will the bar work?

Open Bar!

Please drink responsibly or my dad will kick you out. Or my mum, she can be scarier.

There will be a selection of Premium Wines, Beers, Sparkling Wines, Non-Alcoholic Beer, Cider, Ginger Beer, Juice, Coffee/Tea, and Soft Drink.

Where do I go for the ceremony?

Head to Babalou Wedding & Events. To the left of the Kingscliff Beach Hotel. Upstairs is the ceremony and reception location. An elevator is available.

The ceremony starts at 3:00 pm. Arrival 2:30pm

What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, we will all head across the road to the beach for a group photo. From there, Immediate family and the Bridal Party will be required for more photos.

What happens after the group photo?

The Reception starts at 5:00 pm back upstairs in Babalou. Staff will invite you back up once they have reset the room from the ceremony.

In the interim, you have free time!

Hang out at the beach, go for a walk, or head to the Kingscliff Beach Hotel for drinks (you will need to pay for your own drinks during this time, unfortunately)

Are you having a registry?

Nope.

How about a Wishing Well?

Yes!

If you would love to bring a card or a gift within a card, there will be a wishing well in the space.

Any money gifted will go to paying off the wedding.

ANYTHING ELSE TO KNOW?

Are you changing your name?

Nope.

Zoe is staying “Zoe Fishpool” and Liam is staying “Liam Hutchinson”.

Please don’t call us the “The Hutchinson’s”, “The Fishpool’s”, “Mrs Hutchinson” or “Mr Fishpool”. We will be sad.

What do I call you then?

The Newlyweds. The Happy Couple. Whatever floats your boat.

What time can I leave?

After you’ve eaten your food, feel free to go at any time.

Typically, you wait for the first dance. But you do you boo!

How will I see the photos?.

Once we receive them back from our photographer, we will upload them to a Dropbox and send anyone a link who asks.

Can you cater to my dietary requirements?

If you let us know in the RSVP, we can let the venue know. If you don’t, then that’s on you!

If you aren’t changing your name, are you going to be Mr and Mrs?

Nope. Mr and Ms.

Zoe likes to do things her way.

Are you having a wedding cake?

At this point, no. We find they go to waste and we hate money and food waste.

We will be offering Gelato instead!

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately, only those invited by Zoe and Liam can come. This means no children, no plus ones etc.

Is it BYO?

Nope. Licenced venue. BRING YOUR ID IF YOU LOOK YOUNG

Can I Smoke?

There is a smoking area upstairs connected to the reception space for smokers and vapers.

Zoe is a major asthmatic so please make sure you do not bring any vapours/smoke inside when you are done.
